A writer with a focus on female-driven, diverse content for film and TV.

As a biracial woman, Kate is interested in writing about identity and belonging. Frustrated by the dearth of Asian and mixed narratives across media platforms, she aims to give a voice to underrepresented groups by upending stereotypes in clever ways and finding the threads that bind us all.

Kate is drawn to the concept of unexpected connection when creating characters and stories, acknowledging the difficulties we have in embracing our collective humanness these days. She often tackles social themes through projects with broad appeal and complex but relatable characters.
